With all the emphasis on video as a means of digital engagement these days it seems we're quickly forgetting the art of storytelling / digital engagement using audio. Not so fast I say... in the audio clip below.

Hi. I usually don't press play on audio clips in a blog. The reason I pressed play was because the text said barely anything at all - so to find out what was going on, I just had to press play.

It's only a couple of minutes long so it didn't seem like it would be too much time for me to have a listen. If it was much longer, I might not have bothered.

Another barrier is that often when I am working with other people around me, I don't want to disturb them with the noise, and I don't want to pause my mental work flow by digging out my headphones. I'm working from home today.

I would not have downloaded this as a podcast. I haven't found that saving things to listen to or read later works for me.

Thank you for putting this up, it's made me think. I'm not convinced that audio is the way forward, but it's worth a try.

      Hey Lior,

I found your reply really encouraging as all the enticements to press play had been thought through with military precision 😉

If you do ever venture into the world of audio I would love to check out what you've created.
